Back in 1995 I was fresh out of college and spending my summer cruising around from town to town checking out the local street scene. At the time I had a pretty nice 1966 Chevelle. From the surface she looked pretty stock and plain Jane, and that is how I liked it.

I tried to keep the car as low key as possible. Unlike most people I didn't want to put flashy Super Sport badges on my car or advertise that there was anything other than a small block hiding under my hood. My Chevelle had no flashy rims or wide meats sticking out of the back wheel wells, just the stock looking rims and a set of Mickey Thompson cheater slicks that might just give a hint to what this car was up to.

If you were to look inside of my 66 Chevelle you really would not think much of it just a clean stock looking black interior with a Hurst four speed and three low key gauges mounted under the dash. Under the hood of my car is where this car really shined. Nothing fancy hiding under there just a clean stock looking big block Chevy with painted valve covers and a stock looking air filter sporting a 325 horsepower 396 cubic inch sticker. If you just happened to talk me into lifting the hood for you this is where I had you. Because tucked underneath that stock looking air filter with the 325 horsepower sticker was a very stout 427 cubic inch big block Chevy.

It was this low key look that hooked them, and then it was up to me to reel them in. I remember my buddies and I cruised up and down many a main street that summer. We would cruised my Chevelle up and down the local strips mostly just idling her through, never really revving her up or getting on it. Just a low key Chevelle trying not to draw attention to ourselves so that we could set our trap.

Many a guy stepped into the trap that we set that summer, always thinking that they were going up against a mostly stock car. Boy were they wrong. I did not win every race that summer, but by the time fall rolled around my little low key 66 Chevelle had quite a name for itself and gained the respect that it deserved.

Pneumatic Castors Are Pitch Perfect

Pneumatic castors are not just limited to the cricketing world. These castors have proved vital for other outdoor environments, such as Garden Centres, Football Grounds, and Agricultural equipment and also within Marinas. Pneumatic wheels have also recently been utilised for extreme sports such as go karting, kite surfing and mountain boarding. 

Similar to Cricket Clubs, these outdoor environments utilise the quieter winter months to upgrade and replace their wheels and castors, prior to the busier periods starting from Easter onwards. Garden Centres for example replace worn out wheels and replace them with pneumatic castors, wide tread sand hopper wheels or even simpler hard rubber EPR wheels. These Garden centre trolleys have a punishing summer season, and are not only expected to carry heavy plants and soils, but are also expected to be easy to move around the garden centre.

Summer seems along way away as the snow falls over the UK and the big freeze continues to chill us. However now is the time that cricket clubs are ensuring their pitches are covered and their cricket screens are suitable to be manoeuvred around the cricket field.

But how do these grounds men and women ensure these heavy covers and screens do not damage their perfectly flat cricket field? The answer is the use of pneumatic castors. These pneumatic castors have a rubber tyre, with an air filled inner tube. This means these pneumatic castors have a wide enough tread, which is cushioned, very much like a wider version of the wheels found on mountain bikes.

Not only do these pneumatic castors provide cushioning when moving covers over the cricket crease, field and boundaries, but also gives flexibility of movement and strength. Pneumatic castors can take up to 200 kilograms each, which makes them very suitable not only for cricket covers, but also for the tall and heavy cricket screens encircling the boundary.

Alternatives to the pneumatic castors are the wide tread wheels, commonly called Sand hopper wheels or GB270's. Again these wheels offer the added advantage of not denting the field, as the wide tread distributes the load of the cricket cover evenly. The only disadvantage of using these wide tread wheels, is the lack if swivel manoeuvrability. Encasing  pneumatic wheels in castors therefore has the added benefit of flexibility of movement, which is proving vital during the summer months when ground covers can be moved on and off the crease at regular intervals.

Go karting has been a relatively recent and exciting environment for pneumatic wheels to operate within. Secondary schools up and down the country have a programme to encourage their students to get involved and build their own go kart. They can either purchase the kit and follow the instructions, or alternatively build one from scratch as a team! how do i install cold air intake on a 2000 acura integra gsr. couple xtra hoses on motor, don't know what todo

2000 acura integra gsr, vtec, dohc. cold air intake has piping, filter, clamps and one vacuum hose coming off one of the pipes that goes right after the throttle body. the hose that goes on that same spot on the stock intake goes to more than one spot and not just the valve cover. so i'm afraid of messin something up. please help. thank you.

its junk. dont worry about it. if its a silicon hose that goes from the intake to the valve cover, its trash. its for oil fumes to be returned into the car to be burnt and released to the exhaust. just plug the ends or whatever u need to do. preferably plug the valve cover hole, cause oil residue will build up outside it. but trust, it wont screw up, its poopy nonsense. sounds stupid, but its true.
