Many new cars like Audi, BMW, and Lexus have adapted the latest LED lights for corner lights for its great characteristics that LEDs have sharper and brighter lighting output than stock filament bulbs, and also faster responding time than filament bulbs, so it will be easier to spotted from a further distance.
Because of this new trend, increasingly, people have decided to upgrade their cars with the aftermarket LED turn signal lights.
There are three most common sizes for the aftermarket LED corner light bulbs:
For Japanese vehicles like Honda, Nissan, Toyota, the 7440 (single filament) and 7443 (double filaments) wedge base LED light bulbs.
For American vehicles like Ford, Dodge or Cadillac, the 3156 (single filament) and 3157 (double filaments) wedge base LED light bulbs.
Finally, for old Japanese cars and most European vehicles like Audi, BMW or Mercedes, the 1156 (single filament) and1157 (double filaments) bayonet base LED light bulbs.
When installing the LED turn signal light bulbs, a common issue is the LED bulbs will flash rapidly vs. the stock turn signal, a similar symptom when one stock corner light bulb burnt out.
This so called "rapid flash" or "hyper flash" issue is caused when the turn signal light circuit's wattage decrease since LED bulbs consume a much lower wattage comparing with stock filament bulbs. For instance, a stock 7440 filament bulb consumes 21W, but a 7440 LED bulb consumes from only 0.5W up to 3W max.
To solve the LED bulbs "hyper flash" or "rapid flash" issue, we can increase the wattage by adding external load resistors.
For single filament bulbs like 7440, 3156 and 1156 LED bulbs, there are one positive wire (usually Red or Blue) and one negative wire (usually Black or Brown), we can simply tap the load resistors' wires to the positive and negative wires for the lights.
For double-filament bulbs like 7443, 3157 and 1157 LED bulbs, there are two positive wires and one negative wire. We tap the load resistors to one positive and the negative wires, if the LED bulb still flashes rapidly, simply change the load resistor wire from the positive to another positive.
Since load resistors will generate heat, please make sure to mount the load resistors to the metal instead of the plastic.

Nissan's Full Size Pickup: the Titan
Asian car manufacturers are really giving the US based giants with tough competition. Not only are they succeeding in securing the small car market in the US but they are also making a bid for full size pickup supremacy. What seemed to be impossible years ago is happening now - Asian car manufactures are challenging the US brands on their own strong point, the truck segment of the market.
A prime example of that is Nissan which has released in the US market its full size pickup, the Nissan Titan. American car manufacturers better keep up with the pace because companies such as Toyota, Honda and Nissan are producing quality trucks at par with what they are producing.
The Nissan Titan is an all around great package from the brand known for producing quality vehicles. It is an all wheel drive with great off roading capability and high performance level. It is a full size pickup truck with great exterior designs guaranteed to turn heads, and loaded with awesome features any car buyer would surely like to have. Its entertainment package includes an 8-speaker audio system for optimum music enjoyment of the 6-disc in dash CD changer. Thrown into that package is Nissan’s Mobile Theatre System with DVD player, 7-inch monitor and wireless headphones.
Added amenities are power windows, locks, back glass and extra airbags. Buyers can also get a towing package and an off road package for additional costs. All of these features complement the luxurious styling of the truck’s interior.
Driving performance of the truck is also an experience in itself, the steering is responsive and the suspension is great giving the occupants a smooth ride even in off road driving. The Nissan Titan is powered by a 5.6 liter V8 engine capable of producing 305 units of horsepower which strong enough to power the truck even under full load and at extreme road conditions. Aftermarket parts compatible to the engine can be added to further enhance the power plant’s capability, like the Titan cold air intake system. This will surely increase the efficiency of the engine and add more oomph to its already powerful engine performance.
The Nissan Titan’s bridge from its powerful engine to the wheels is a five speed automatic transmission with floor mounted gear shift lever for the more adventurous drivers. It is also equipped with a 4-wheel limited slip system which applies braking force to a wheel that needs traction while directing power to that wheel. Stopping power is provided by the vehicle’s 12.6-inch Bosch disc brakes with the anti-lock braking system.
Its overall performance plus the features it has surely makes this truck a contender in the full-size pickup truck market.

Changing Motor Mounts on a 97' Nissan Altima?
What would be the average cost of changing the motor mounts? It is a front wheel drive, 4 cylinder, with manual transmission. I assume there are 4 motor mounts?
$150 a mount if done one at a time. $100 a piece for all 4 at once. That would be parts and labor.
Coupe Deluxe
The moniker is one of the better known in the annals of automotive history: the Coupe de Ville. Cadillac’s sleek two-door model was emblematic of the carmaker for decades. Yet over the decades, Cadillac got away from two doors to focus on sedans, trucks and sport utilities. Now, the carmaker is jumping back into the two-door field. Cadillac is rolling out the 2011 CTS Coupe. Launched as a ...
