Do I need to use gasket sealer on a metal timing chain cover gasket?

I am replacing the timing chain on my Dodge Ram 1500, V6, van.

The gasket supplied in the kit for this application is metal with blue ribs applied to both sides.

Do I need to apply ant gasket sealer to this metal gasket?

Do I need to apply gasket sealer to the lower curved portion of the cover (Which mates with the front oil seal)?

no because that cover is just to keep things such as dirt and stuff from getting into the timing chain and it does not have fluids in there to keep it from getting out.
