Dell keyboard replacement manual for Dell Inspiron 6400 Keyboard

 NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer). To help prevent damage to the system board, you must remove the Dell laptop battery from the battery bay before you begin Dell Inspiron 6400 Keyboard working inside the computer.
First, Remove the keyboard:
a, Remove the two screws at the top of the Dell Inspiron 6400 Keyboard. The keycaps on the Dell Laptop Keyboard are fragile, easily dislodged, and time-consuming to replace. Be careful when removing and handling the keyboard.
b, Lift the keyboard only enough to hold it up and slightly forward to allow access to the Dell Inspiron 6400 Keyboard connector.
c, To release the keyboard cable from the Dell laptop keyboard connector on the system board, rotate the plastic bar on the keyboard connector to the front of the computer.
To avoid scratching the palm rest when replacing the Dell Inspiron 6400 Keyboard, hook the tabs along the front edge of the keyboard into the palm rest, and then press on the right edge near the top to snap the keyboard into place before replacing the two screws.
The Dell Inspiron 6400 Keyboard procedures in this document may require the following tools:
Small flat-blade screwdriver
Phillips screwdriver
Small plastic scribe
Flash BIOS update

What is this part of my MP3 player called?

Where the headphones plug into my MP3 player are 2 flat tiny metal tabs (about a couple milimeters wide and less than a centimeter long). These tabs obviously conduct sound from the player to the ear phone connection. Now there is only one tab in there, the other broke off, and I can only hear sound through one side of my headphones. I'd like to fix it but I don't know what this piece is called or where I can find a replacement part. Anyone know?

This require cutting the earphone and the only way m afraid.
If can heard song in one of the earphones than that's all you need.

Cut any part of the eaphone wire. Remove the plastic lawyer( not the enitre wire. Just enought to see the metal piece inside the wire) inside you'll see 2 seperate wires red/yellow or white/yellow black/yellowgold
yellow arethe one on the outer. not cover
red/white/black/color are cover and surounding by yellow/gold.

When you cut the wire you've 8 single wires. Because you have 2 wires. Each wire have two single inside color/yeallow.
Conect the 4 yellow or gold wire together. that's the non-cover wires, located on the outer.
Then you tape or cover it. Make sure they don't touch the cover( color wires).

Connect the 4 color wires together and tape them. Make sure they are not in contact with the non-cover wires(-) negatives.

Then plug in the the earpiece. I do it all the time. Wash your hand when finish. Seriously could have lead or cause cancer in state of california.

If that don't work you can solder it from inside.
