Cavalier engine swap, 97 2.2, INto a 96 2.2l but slightly different engines?

the 97 has the newer type egr, and like the water line that connects to the coolant tank runs across the valve cover, and connects right by the egr valve....

the old 96 engine this has the older style SHORT FAT n ROUND...and i dont kno about the water line thing for that.. I know there 99$ identical..
are the egr sensor connectors the same,
and if not im thinkn id need to get a different coolant tank for that has 2tubes coming out instead of the one on the 96.

Is there any electronic differences that will make this not start? like coil module or something?
cuz iv heard some parts are for specific years but i dont kno.

ide double check the dissy/coil pack wires...i think they use a diferent ecu.
