You can embed a YouTube video into a PowerPoint presentation. For example, your company may have videos on YouTube that you would like to show. If you're sure that you'll have a live Internet connection when you present, you can use this method.

1. Display the YouTube movie at YouTube.com.

2. From the URL text box, copy the URL to the clipboard.

Then follow these steps:

1. Choose View>Toolbars>Control Toolbox. (In PowerPoint 2007, go to Developer tab> Controls group. If you don't see the Developer tab, click the Office button> PowerPoint Options. In the Popular category, check the Show Developer Tab in the Ribbon check box.)

2. Click the Hammer button (More Controls).

3. Choose Shockwave Flash Object from the menu. (In PowerPoint 2007, click OK.)

Once you've selected this option:

1. Drag a box across the screen to get the desired size and location. Don't cover the entire slide.

2. Right click the box and choose Properties.

3. In the Properties window, click the Movie item.

4. Paste the YouTube URL that you copied.

5. In the URL, delete the text watch?.

6. In the URL, replace the = (equal) sign with a / (forward slash). You'll end up with a URL that looks like http://www.youtube.com/v/0onkpWsGc4A.

7. Set the Loop value to False unless you want the movie to repeat over and over.

8. Set the Playing value to False to allow you to click when you want the movie to start, rather than automatically when you display the PowerPoint slide.

9. Close the Properties window using its close box.

10. Choose Slide Show view to see the movie. Click the Play button to start the movie.

Note: On repeated playing, the movie sometimes starts itself or plays at a quick speed. Just click the Pause button, drag the slider to the left, and click Play.

Design Scrapbook Cover for your Thanksgiving Album

Holding family memories in scrapbooks has become all the rage. One of the most wonderful things about making a scrapbook cover is that it is uniquely your own. You choose the photos,templates and embellishments for a one-of-a-kind treasure that only you own. With a thematic and beautiful scrapbook cover,you can share your passion better with friends and family.

Step 1: Select the Background of scrapbook cover

Download a scrapbook cover software, here we take the Photo Collage Software for an example. After installing,start the scrapbook cover software. Select a premade template or open a background image that resembles a book or album cover. Make sure to choose one that will look good with text and images stuck on to it. Here we choose one from collage template named wedding15.

Step 2: Creating a Title

Click the Taskbar of "Decorate Collage" button,and choose the "Text" tab. Type out the title in the text box, and select the font,color and text size in the center of the entire scrapbook cover. Or you can move it as a whole. What's more, you can set the shadow,halation or texture for you scrapbook album cover title as your pleasure.

Step 3: Double-click or Drag the photo

Carefully seclect the photo that are appropriate to the theme of your scrapbook album. And then double-click the center area to add from your computer disk. Or select a path from left of scrapbook ablum cover software,and drag the photo from the left to the center area of whole scrapbook cover.

Step 4: Add the embellishments

In this step,your scrapbook cover is alright more or less. You can embellish and decorate the scrapbook cover with the description words,clipart,stamp or doodle some knickknacks for your scrapbook ablum cover.Here just simply add description and clipart.

Step 5: Appreciate - Created by Photo Collage Software

A scrapbook ablum cover has been simply design out, and save it as image. If you are not satisfied with it, you come back the previous step and go on to modify and beautify your scrapbook cover.

Step 6: Print Out the Scrapbook Cover

Select page orientation of your scrapbook ablum cover on the top left hand side. By default, the orientation would be Portrait. Portrait works for most documents, which means its height is taller than its width. On the other hand, you can select to print your scrapbook cover in Landscape orientation, which means its width is longer than its height.

Ok, now you just need glue or bind the Scrapbook Cover for your Thanksgiving ablum 2009 !

Safari 4 beta does not show Top Site, Cover Flow style..help!?

I downloaded Safari 4 beta and ran on my computer till the completion of the install. But to my disappointment,unlike in my friend's computer, the Top sites feature did not turn up, nor the cool "Welcome to Safari 4" screen at first or the Cover Flow style. Not any of the 3D-like effects is present. When I open a new tab, it is a blank tab. And all that the Preferences tab could let me do was set the browser to open a new tab with bookmarks. Please help! I would love to get this slick and pretty browser on my computer.
Is it to do with the brand of the computer or any other requirements lacking in my system. I use XP SP 2, .1.24 GB RAM on a Compaq.
