i added a new cam, edelbrock proformer cam with lifters and a new oil pump, the motor is a 350 tbi .30 over stock exhaust and new stock rockers roller tip. The oil does not squirt out of the rockers and when i stomp it the check engine comes on. the check engine code is map sensor or throttle position sensor and knock sensor. Can someone help

Another HUGE area for clearance issues aside from rod and main bearing oil clearances is lifter to lifter bore clearance, which will kill oil pressure. 10:1, you have Chinese lifters in there now.

Many of the factory engines have .004 clearance on the rods/mains which even for a 10,000RPM engine is insanely loose. Clevite offers a STD or a .010 bearing in a .001 under clearance to tighten things up. A plain bearing that is coated by Polydyn will accomplish the same thing. It helps in your case to know where those clearances are to begin with. Main oil clearances of .0015 and .002 on the rods will fly with a STD volume oil pump and 5W30 oil.

If you are having MAP sensor code, your mega mass produced Edelbrock cam could be the problem by way of it being too big or a retarded intake and exhaust centerline.

If you threw on a set of 1.6 ratio rocker arms, having them on the exhaust side is also your issue had with the Map sensor as they are costing you about 2 inches of vacuume at idle over a 1.5. If you have done this, put a 1.5 ratio back on the exhaust. Doing so will also pick you up very noticeable bottom end.

You can add about a point of compression and reduce octane demand at the same time by tightening the quench via installing a Felpro 1094 head gasket. This will also give you an increased 1-2 inches of idle vacuume. It's worth about 20HP when done and will reduce spark advance requirements about 2 degrees. Your B.S.F.C will go down.

I've built and made cams for thousands of TBI 350's, and I do not embellish that number, either.
