If your car is in need of repair, you may feel you have to go out and visit a mechanic to get an estimate of what it will cost to repair your car. Of course, estimates will differ depending on which mechanic you take your car to, so you may end up having to take your car to several different mechanics. However, you can get online car repair estimates without having to leave your house.
What is an Estimate?
An estimate, as its name implies, is the estimated cost to repair your car. An estimate may be more or less than what you actually end up paying for the repairs. Most estimates are free, and most mechanics will be more than happy to give you an estimate to try and attract your business.
Where to Find Online Car Repair Estimates
If you are looking to find an estimate online, there are many places you can look. You can do a search at a search engine and see what results you get. Also, several mechanics also have websites. If you visit these websites, you can input information about your car and the repairs you need and you can receive an online estimate from the mechanic website. Similarly, many dealerships have online estimates.
Another place to look is mechanic discussion forums. These are sites where mechanics and people needing repairs discuss car repair topics. You could post what repairs you are in need of and the members of the discussion forum would then be able to give their input as to how much you should expect to pay to have your car fixed.
By getting an online estimate, you make it much easier to get multiple estimates, as you will not have to travel from mechanic to mechanic. Also, you will fell less pressure to get your car fixed at a specific location, as a mechanic will not be pressuring you to make a decision.
Limits of an Online Estimate
Even though there are many advantages to getting online car repair estimates, there are also some disadvantages. One is that the estimate will be limited by your knowledge of what is wrong with your car. When you take your car to a mechanic to do an estimate, the mechanic will thoroughly examine your car and see everything that is wrong with it. When you are just entering the information online, the estimate will only be based on what information you are entering. There may be problems that you are not aware of, and thus your estimate may be too low.
Nonetheless, an online estimate can be a good starting point. With your online estimate, you can have an idea of what you will need to pay to get your car fixed. You can then take the online estimate to a mechanic and see if the mechanic will do the work for the price quoted in your online estimate. You may find that some mechanics will refuse to do so, however, some mechanics may take it into consideration and give you a discount on their services.

Exhilarating and Impressive Ride With Pontiac Sunfire Parts
The Pontiac Sunfire was first introduced in the automobile market by its parent company General Motors in the 1995 model year as a compact car replacement for Sunbird. It was Pontiac’s answer to car publics’ primary need for cheap and basic transportation. It has undergone a lot of changes although reviews says it wasn’t enough or it didn’t work out fine except when they made the more recent models which featured a livelier engine. The Ecotec engine was put in which offered a more quiet operation with an efficiency that is improved and substantially more power than the previous one. The most notable change of course was the launching of the first ever affordable convertible. The Pontiac Sunfire is not among the luxury lines Pontiac is known for but still the quality remains to be impressive especially after its dramatic make-over that’s included improved safety standards on Pontiac Sunfire Parts. The Pontiac Sunfire is equipped with high grade quality Pontiac Sunfire Parts.
The front wheel drive is shared with the Chevrolet Cavalier and remains available as a coupe or a convertible. But the front and rear styling remains different from the Cavalier with Sunfire being sportier with a standard rear spoiler that’s mounted on a 104.1-inch wheelbase. You can thoroughly check and detect early signs of damage in the working conditions of your Pontiac Sunfire Parts by habitually popping your hood. The Sunfire can seat about five people comfortably in an interior cabin that features a front bucket and a 60/40- split folding three-place rear seat. For more comfortable riding and driving, several features were added and improved including a standard center console that featured padded arm rests, cup holders for front occupants, storage slots for coins, tapes and CDs as well with a premium Monsoon audio system as options. The interior revisions improved the total satisfaction and well-being. The driver operates a floor-mounted transmission shift lever. In the early models, the ABS was a standard feature but was changed into an option after a few revisions. And in the next revisions the air bags as standard safety features were also added and an upgraded sport suspension and new front and rear fascias that freshens its appearance. Other luxury-themed amenities like OnStar and a sunroof were offered as options. There were two types on engine that were available to choose from but definitely the Ecotec engine was considered the best addition to the Pontiac Sunfire Parts.
Although the Pontiac Sunfire Parts are considered to be good quality auto parts, the daily wear and tear can cause it to get damage and result in poor performance of your car. For the optimum performance and comfortable ride of your Pontiac, your Pontiac Sunfire Parts should be kept in excellent conditions. Timely check and routine maintenance should be done by qualified professional should be done. Sticking to the manufacturer’s recommendations on regular replacement could eliminate incurring damage. There really is no need of overextending life efficacy of the parts when you can find precision fitting replacements elsewhere. It is more cost effective if replacement is immediately done rather than risk more expensive damage on other more important components.

Replacement Suspension Parts and Tune Up Options?
I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix SE (3.1 L) with about 92K miles. I have taken good care of it with regular service and oil changes. I have noticed that the ride has become gradually spongey and was wondering how to go about fixing that? Should I take it to my tire guy I use for my other two cars (he does suspension and oil changes too) and have him take care of it all (I trust him) or should I take on the task myself of ordering, finding someone to install them? (Im leaning towards having my guy do it all)
Secondly, I am looking to give the engine a little boost. I was thinking a CAI I found at Chrome Intakes on e-bay (already had a conversation with a rep there to get the right parts for my model, good to go, just have to order). Any other inexpensive tune ups available to get a little pep back? I have used Restore Engine Additive twice as well as a few rounds of fuel system cleaner with every fill up over a month or so.
help it breathe, Intake (which you have), exhaust, ignition wires, bigger injectors or spark-plugs (some spark too hot)...maybe a chip, put a gear in it....Let your tire guy handle the susp. if you trust him.....it can be confusing from the get-go esp. if there are wrong/missing components.......And lay-off the aftermarket additives, it will rob the motor of its protective layering and eventually soil parts......
