where is the drain plug on a 2003 ford ranger, cannot find, can you explain in relation to other parts?

have got the filter off, easy to find, but simply cannot find the oil drain plug, nor even the pan, found a weird black wire typre of plug but do not see how that could be it, booklet in truck little or no help

right in the middle of oil pan you cant miss it. .if you know where the motor is and you have the filter then the plug will be within arms reach

Starter @ around 200000mi. Slight seep of water in heavy rain around windshield at around 250000mi. Power door locks. Driver side would not work on for the passenger side.
