The Pontiac Grand Prix was one of the most popular sports cars of the 1980's. However, the car actually debuted in 1962 as a sportier version of the Pontiac Catalina. Throughout the sixties, the Pontiac Grand Prix was seen as a luxury model car, and set the trend for exterior trim. In the 1970s, the car was made larger, as many cars of that decade due to federal regulations.

However, by the 1980's this car was seen as a sports car by many teenagers. This sudden surge in popularity by the younger generation was due in large part to the purchase of the cars by teen sensations. These purchases were emphasized by several interviews published in Teen Beat magazines throughout the eighties.

Today it has become so popular that it has outlasted the Bonneville, which was previously the luxury car of choice for more retirees and older generations. The Bonneville has been recently discontinued, while the Grand Prix has moved in to take its place.

This is in partial part due to the sportier look, but is also due to the fact that has proven to be more fuel efficient. Fuel efficiency, as we all well know, is a big deal right now as gas prices continue to rise, and show no sign of stopping. In fact, the makers have taken this into account, and are working on a hybrid model of the car.

Due to the popularity and to engage interest, General Motors is putting out more accessories for the car and its lovers. Most of these accessories can be bought and used with cars other than the Grand Prix, and can be found in any automotive shop. Some of the accessories, however, can only be purchased from exclusive General Motors dealers and parts specialists. One of the more popular, inexpensive, and universal accessories available today are these wonderful accessories.

There are actually four different Pontiac Grand Prix keychains available for your pleasure. They can be great for gifts or for your own personal use. These accessories are available in four styles, two of which are a combination of leather and metal and two that are metal alone. The most popular key chain available is the leather with a silver ring around the metal medallion.

The other leather key chain has a wider gold ring around the medallion. The two metal ones available are very different from each other. One is a simple circle, while the other is the same simple circle but with a nice, wider band of chrome around the circlet. All four of them hold the symbols on their medallions, and they each cost around seven dollars.

There are many ways that you can personalize these for your particular use. If you are a car dealer you can have your dealership name or logo engraved on the back of any of the key chains for only five dollars. Other companies may also wish to have their company names or logos engraved on these key chains, along with a number, to help them track their company cars. You could also personalize them with the date that you purchased your favorite model year, or your name or the name of the person you are giving it to.
