Why do people suddenly believe the 2004 and 2007 Red Sox World Series titles are "tainted"?

I live close to NYC and all I heard in the newspapers and from Yankees fans today as a Red Sox fan is "you guys had to cheat to win the World Series it shouldn't count".

Yes David Ortiz,and Manny tester positive under the drug policy but you can say the same thing about many other World Series Champions.

The 2000 Yankees had many players who tested positive for performance enhancing drugs.

If you say this about one team that wins the WS, than you'd have to test players on previous WS Champions and see who used steroids.

As I said you may be able to say this same thing for many other WS Champs so why should people believe the Red Sox WS titles "don't count" ?
steroids are a reason I havent followed baseball nearly as closely as I used to though
they aren't the only WS Champion that had stars take steroids

Becuase they would not have won it without Papi and MAnny and they were on roids

But i don't think they are tainted

EDIT:To be completly honest i really REALLY don't give a crap about this stuff anymore i just want it to be over i saw the report about them on ESPN and i just said "That sucks for them" but to change what happend in history is complelty ridicouls Just becuase MAnny and Papi made mistakes dose NOT mean they are not great players and they should not be looked at diffrently for what has happend in the past

There are other names on the list we do not know about and we may never know so don't critize the Sox becuase mabey the star player on YOUR team used and then YOU would be on this websight defending them
