Your car is something that you treasure, and something you want to look good, because honestly, your car reflects who you are. This being said, you want your car to be tip-top shape. Why not add in a few extra accessories? You wouldn't be reading this article if you were not considering styling your car with a flying lady hood ornament, right? When regarding these pieces of work, you start to realize: there are over one thousand different styles! Let's show you just how many deviations and varieties there are! Below, we are going to look deeper into styling your car with flying lady hood ornament.
When choosing what ornamentation you want, you have to narrow it down to three things: the type, the era you want it from, and the color. If you are going for the more 'fancy' look, you could simply pick a gemmed accessory. The color of wings is also important, because if your car is a color that does not match with the decoration, it may look just a little odd. Of course, if that's your style, go for it!
If you are going for a slightly different approach, say, gold plated? Then you should absolutely research in that alley. Gold may not be your thing, but it would definitely compliment any silver, white, or black cars immensely. Gold is dandy and all, but what if your just not a 'gold' person? Well, then, chrome is another choice! Not only does it match about any color in existence, but it also has a shining finish to it to top it off!
You might also want to consider the shape. Do you want your lady flying with angel wings, simple bird wings, no wings at all, or just simply gliding in the air? The variations are endless!
Finally, do you want the real thing, or a replica? Antiques cost a fortune, but owning one can bring a great amount of pride, and even more so when one is a rare. Replicas are more on the less expensive side, and can bring just about the same joy as an antique one could!
If you have decided on a replica winged flying lady, which style will you have installed on your ride? There are several color or finish variations of the modern day flying lady hood ornament nicknamed the hood bitch or home bred bitch; chrome wing with die-cast chrome body, gold wing with chrome body, gold body with chrome wings and gold wings with gold body. Besides the standard hood ornament, there is the illuminated flying lady hood ornament with color wings including amber, blue, green, purple and red.
Hood ornaments used to be purely for technical purposes: the radiator cap in the old days. It sat on top of the grille and served as a temperature taker of coolant fluid. When this became an art form, it began to 'speak volumes' about the owner.
Basically, it individualized your car. In the 1920s, 1930s, and the 1940s, these were popular and it created a healthy business. Chrome plate used to be unavailable and only silver and nickel plating was accessible.
Needless to say, styling your car with a flying lady hood ornament can be simplified into three straightforward categories: what plating would you like? What time period is most interesting? What color? Once you get this down, you are on your way to getting a beautiful new accessory for your car! Not to mention, this will make all your friends jealous, even if hood ornaments aren't their thing. You have endless possibilities.

Allanté
Cadillac hoped the 1987 Allanté would help to rebuild its image
Cadillac tried to rebuild its image in 1987, aware that imported European and Japanese performance models were on a rise, and with Honda launching its American luxury division, Acura. Some new design approaches were tried: the Seville, for instance, was downsized to BMW 5 series proportions and had rounded wheel arches with only a hint of chrome. During this period, the greatest challenge to the import sports cars was the Cadillac Allanté, a convertible designed by Pininfarina of Italy, and built on what was touted as the world's longest production line—with the car's bodies fabricated in Italy and flown by Boeing 747 to the United States to meet their transmission and engine.
The modern era
DaimlerChrysler
2006 Dodge Charger SRT8 sedan
Chrysler Corporation was sold to Daimler-Benz AG in 1998 to form DaimlerChrysler. Rationalizing Chrysler's broad lineup was a priority, and Dodge's sister brand Plymouth was withdrawn from the market. With this move, Dodge became DaimlerChrysler's low-price division as well as its performance division.

Dodge D11 Luxury Liner 4-Door Sedan 1939
To fit better in the Chrysler Corporation lineup, alongside low-priced Plymouth and medium-priced DeSoto, Dodge's lineup for early 1930 was trimmed down to a core group of two lines and thirteen models (from three lines and nineteen models just over a year previous). Prices started out just above DeSoto but were somewhat less than top-of-the-line Chrysler, in a small-scale recreation of General Motors' "step-up" marketing concept. (DeSoto and Dodge would swap places in the market for the 1933 model year, Dodge dropping down between Plymouth and DeSoto.)

Brazil
In Brazil, Dodge cars have been successful with the models Dakota and Ram, recently the only available model was the Ram 2500, but the model portfolio is being expanded, starting with the Journey crossover for the 2009 model year.
Canada
In Canada, the Dodge lineup of cars started down the road to elimination along with the Plymouth line when in 1988 the Dodge Dynasty was sold in Canada as the Chrysler Dynasty and sold at both Plymouth and Dodge dealers. Similarly, the new Dodge Intrepid, the Dynasty's replacement, was sold as the Chrysler Intrepid.
Alternative propulsion initiatives
The company has long worked on alternative-technology vehicles, and has recently led the industry with ethanol burning flexible-fuel vehicles that can run on either E85 (ethanol) or gasoline. The company was the first to use turbochargers and was an early proponent of V6 engines in the 1960s, but quickly lost interest as the muscle car race took hold.
They demonstrated gas turbine vehicles powered by kerosene, an area of interest throughout the industry, but abandoned the alternative engine configuration in view of the 1973 oil crisis. In the 1970s and 1980s, GM pushed the benefits of diesel engines and cylinder deactivation technologies with disastrous results due to poor durability in the Oldsmobile diesels and drivability issues in the Cadillac V8-6-4 variable cylinder engines. In 1987, GM, in conjunction with AeroVironment, built the Sunraycer, which won the inaugural World Solar Challenge and was a showcase of advanced technology. Much of the technology from Sunraycer found its way into the Impact prototype electric vehicle (also built by Aerovironment) and was the predecessor to the General Motors EV1.

Chevrolet-branded vehicles are not sold in South Korea. However, many global-market Chevrolet vehicles are sourced from GM Daewoo of South Korea.
Thailand
The American-built Chevrolet Colorado pickup is also manufactured in Rayong, Thailand. The Holden Commodore is badged as the Chevrolet Lumina in Thailand.
General Motors is currently exploring cost cutting options as part of its restructuring plan. One of these options involve expanding the Rayong, Thailand plant to add additional capacity to export Colorados to the U.S. This would allow the Shreveport, Louisiana plant to be closed (where the Colorado is also produced). This scenario is plausible only if a free-trade agreement is signed between the U.S. and Thailand, as the American tariff on imported pickup trucks from non-FTA countries is currently 25%. The United Auto Workers is the most vocal opponent to a change in the tariff structure.
Doug Plattner Bio In Spring 2007, DaimlerChrysler reached an agreement with Cerberus Capital Management to sell off its Chrysler Group subsidiary, of which the Dodge division was a part. On June 10, 2009, Italian automaker Fiat formed a partnership with Chrysler in which a "New Chrysler" was formed and was given the name Chrysler Group LLC, which Dodge remains a part of.

1964 Oldsmobile Convertible Classic Car?
I have a '64 Olds Dynamic 88 convertible that has not been driven since 1999 and it needs some TLC. It has an electrical problem of some sort, the tranny slips a little, it needs a new gas line (as it was ripped in half while trying to tow it), and the back bumper is rusted out. Other than that, the chrome is nice and the engine is strong. My question: can I get anything for it? $500? $1000? If so, where do I advertise it? I would love to restore it myself, but I don't have the time. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
ebay motors, take a lot of pictures, and don't put a price let them bid on it, (you can put a minimum bid on it so you can't get any less than that) but it goes all over the US, sold my vette that way. You may have just what a few people are looking for and bidding will tell who wants it more, you may be surprised at what they sell for, but be honest in your discription, because more than likely they won't use your motor or tranny anyway.
