Mustang Cobra Modular

Now that you have the most versatile modular vehicle built for the off-road enthusiast your ready to take off your windows, put the top down and head out for some carefree wheeling right? Maybe....

What do you do with those windows? Leave them at home? Lay them flat in the rear? Or roll the windows to be stored in a window bag?

Hands down the best solution is rolling your soft top windows. Rolling prevents creasing, allows you to take them with you and prevents scratching when rolled between soft layers of protective material. Once rolled; your windows then slip into a bag; the bag then rides in your Jeep hidden under you're folded down soft top. Your protected windows are now 1) out of site from easily being lifted 2) out of mind as they are protected and ready to reinstall should the weather change and your top need to go back up.

The Jeep Window Sock is available in a variety of different colors both all make and model Wranglers with Zip out windows and they fit 2 or 4 JK door Wranglers!

Looking to protect your rear curtain window while rolled up on the rear of your jeep?

There is a solution, place a Window Sock liner over your window before rolling and securing your window in the rolled up position. Liners are available separately or as part of the Jeep window sock.

If you are not taking your windows with you or space is not a problem a flat bag is perfect choice! Rugged Ridge, Rampage and Mopar make great flat bags if you prefer storing and protecting your windows flat.

Bottom line: Protecting and stowage of your Vinyl windows should be considered and thought out before you remove them and hit the road or trail!

Mustang Cobra For Sale

Ford kicked off the muscle car phenomenon when they introduced the pony car Mustang in 1964. In the near half-century since, the Mustang has spanned five vehicle generations, and numerous highly coveted specialty models. Perhaps the most prestigious of these is the Cobra, a designation that Ford first added to the Mustang on the 1968 Shelby edition, carrying the name over from the Shelby Cobra, of which production had ended in 1967.

One of the most famous stretches of the Mustang Cobra for sale began with a prototype built by the Ford Special Vehicle Team (SVT) in 1980. However, it would be a decade plus before Ford would establish a SVT division that would allow the team to realize this dream. An SVT Mustang Cobra for sale finally became a reality for the 1993 model year, and Ford continued to sell it until 2004.

That first SVT Mustang Cobra for sale, a Fox Body Windsor, included a 302-cubic-inch V8 under the hood that produced 235 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. The team built it on top of the GT of the time, but it included a more-subdued styling and high-performance equipment from the Ford GT40.

Ford sold the "second generation" of Mustang Cobra SVT, the SN-95 Windsor, between 1994 and 1995. The team added more parts from the GT40 as well as new styling, a revised suspension, wider wheels, and larger brakes. There were also three new colors to choose from, but the three 1993 colors were no longer available.

To meet customer demand for more fuel capacity and a larger, more powerful engine, the SVT introduced the R-model with the 1995 Mustang for sale. The Cobra R has a Kevlar fuel tank with a 20-gallon capacity. Under the hood, the SVT upgraded the engine to a 5.0L V8, a modified version of Ford's 5.8L Windsor V8, which generated 280 horsepower.

Ford sold the SN-95 Modular SVT Mustang Cobra from 1996 to 1998. The "Modular" being in reference to the all-new modular 4.6L DOHC engine, which replaced the 5.0L V8. This new engine offered better fuel performance while outputting 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. Ford manufactured a specialty model of the Cobra called the Mystic Cobra that included a color-shifting paint job by BASF.

From 1999 to 2001, Ford manufactured the SN-95 2, which featured an independent rear suspension, something that was unique to the Cobra editions of the Mustang. They also included a "returnless" fuel system, and under the hood, Ford gave it a new 4.6L engine that produced 320 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque.

During these years, there was just one R-model, the 2000 Cobra R. It was a limited production vehicle (300 units), more limited than the Cobra Rs had been in the past. Ford gave it an impressive 5.4L DOHC that generated 385 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque. They also included a Performance Red exterior, charcoal interior, and a Recaro sport bucket seating.

During the final years of the SVT Mustang Cobra for sale, 2003-2004, Ford sold a supercharged version of the SN-95 2 codenamed the "Terminator". The 4.6L DOHC engine in this machine produced 420 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 430 pound-feet of torque at 3500 rpm. At the time of production, Ford had intentionally marketed it at 390 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque, although the reasons are not quite clear.

Im wanting to swap out the engine on my 2002 Mustang Gt for a crate engine...any suggestions?

My budget is less than $9,000...I was thinking of a 2003 Mach 1 engine but I dont know if i can add a supercharger on it or not. I was looking more for a 2003 Cobra Crate Engine but I cant seem to find any website that offers that modular motor. Will it fit my car? What other type of mods will I need to do to my car to make the crate engine fit? And which ones are the best? Especially for an everyday car.

Instead of doing that, why not trade your GT in on a 2003 Cobra and put the 9000 down as a down payment? Anyways if you are wanting a good engine, Roush Performace make a bunch of different engines that are really well made. They even offer a 588 cu. in. 7.5L with 429hp/460 ft. lbs. or torque. Anyways I would look there or on Ebay for the 03 Cobra motor, if thats what you really want. And yes you can supercharge an 03 mach 1 motor. The other option that I can think of is a 5.4L Lightning motor. Its supercharged and would make the car scream! Bear in mind that you will most likely have to upgrade the tranny, the rear end would have to be beefed up, and you will most likely be running premium fuel.
