There are many things that can go wrong with a car. Fortunately, most of them are relatively benign and a mechanic can get you back on the road with a minimum of fuss. The missing engine coolant problem, however, is not one of those easy problems to fix.
Your car is essentially propelled along by explosions. Thing of the power in a volcano like Mount St. Helens as the top of the mountain exploded and that is what is happening in your engine. Obviously, the explosions are controlled and much smaller, but they produce a ton of energy and a lot of heat. The energy makes you go, but what about the heat? That's what your coolant system is designed to deal with.
The coolant system works by rotating coolant in and out of the engine. As it runs into the engine, it sucks away the heat being produced. The coolant then runs out to the radiator where the heat is shed via the air running across the plain of the radiator. It is a simple, but very effective system.
Most coolant problems are the result of a leak or open regulatory valve. If the car is old, your radiator may become ineffective due to corrosion. The repairs for these problems are not particularly difficult. There is, however, one exception. What happens when your coolant seems to disappear into thin air? The system has no leaks, but the coolant is just gone and the engine overheats?
Missing coolant is a metaphorical cancer diagnosis for most cars. The coolant has not gone missing. Instead, it has found a new exit...through the head or block of your engine. This is bad. At a minimum, you are going to be in for an expensive repair. A worst case scenario will mean the replacement of the engine.
The problem is a fairly simple one to understand. For whatever reason, either the head or engine block has developed a crack. When this occurs, the pressurized coolant will enter the crack and seek another way out of the car. This tends to widen the crack over time or destroy whatever internal components the coolant comes in contact with. Many times, the coolant will be diagnosed as having damaged the head gasket. While this is true, this situation almost always also includes a warped head and/or block. Replacing the gasket will only be a temporary fix.
How do you know if you have a major problem like this? You need to have a pressure test done. The difficulty with these missing coolant problems is everything is happening internally in the engine, so you can't see anything per se. An pressure test will tell you if the system has an internal leak. If it does, your only choice is to pop the head off and start trying to figure out the extent of the problem. Expect to see your bank account take a hit on this one.

Position your Engines With Acura Motor Mounts
The Acura motor mount is a simple yet essential component that helps keep a vehicle functioning properly. It spares other car components from the damage that may be caused by the movements of the car engine.
Car engines have a truly powerful thrust and their horsepower can allow the car to go quite a long way. On the other hand, it also gives off so much force that can cause the engine to shift in the engine compartment, damaging some parts and loosening others. In some cases, the engine may even end up destroying a few components, here and there, particularly when engine vibrations are left unrestrained. Hence, if not for the grip of a reliable motor mount, numerous car components are sure to suffer. The Acura motor mount is guaranteed to keep the car motors secured, keeping the motor’s horsepower to drive the car for a fair distance. The Acura motor mount is made of tough steel and is equipped with a heavy rubber insert to help absorb and cushion strong engine vibrations. By isolating the vibration from the vehicle’s chassis, the Acura motor mount is able to prevent it from spreading throughout other system parts of the vehicle. As a result, the stress felt by the car’s many sensitive components is greatly reduced. This also keeps the parts from easily getting worn out.
Having a set of Acura motor mount that exhibits excellent quality is important. A faulty motor mount can allow excessive shifting of the engine to take place, resulting to vibrations which can cause serious vehicle troubles. This is why a regular inspection of crucial components such as motor mounts is highly advised for car owners. Most motor mounts last an average car run of 60,000 miles. An Acura motor mount is tested to last for years. It even surpasses the other motor mount’s lifespan of around 60,000 miles. But of course, since time will eventually wear it out, it is only natural to have to replace the Acura motor mount when it finally gives out.

Engine vibrates slightly after replacing motor mounts?
I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla, and I just replaced the engine mounts with an aftermarket brand because the original ones were worn out.Now that the rubber is stiffer,it's running rough.I'm thinking that's what the cause is,but I'm not really sure.I'm guessing it's like having a solid steel mount in there, the rubber just needs to break in.It vibrates the everything in the engine compartment and dashboard slightly. Will this go away once they break in?I know I tightened everything up,and everything was put back together correctly. The old mounts allowed the engine to move slightly more, but it still vibrated, but with the new mounts, the rubber is more solid,so it actually vibrates more now. What do you guys think? And no,it's not a recall!
Nope.Like I said,I am positive it went back together correctly, and with all the parts.
The mounts were from Autozone
1 ever been tuned..if over 80k without plugs and wires..there's ur sign
2 check engine lite...some idiot convinced people it means a loose gas cap..yes it can..also any of 20 other sensors acting up
3 vacuum leak...lots of little black vacuum hoses on engines..maybe one got knocked loose during engine mount change
