I love Camaros, I am one of the hugest fans of the Camaro ever to walk the earth, or breathe the general's tasty air, I really don't know about the new one though, will it offers some cool stuff, like the 400 horsepower engine, and the cool interior amenities, they could have have spent a little more time on the exterior of the car, like Dodge did on the challenger, and no matter how bad I hate to say it, like Ford did on the mustang.
The whole idea behind the retro theme is to get the blood of the old muscle car freaks pumping, and I just don't see the new Camaro doing that, although I love the idea that Chevrolet is bringing the Camaro back, I think they could save a bit more of the 60's Camaro look for the outside of the car, I hate to say that if I buy a retro muscle car, it will be the new Dodge challenger.
Dodge did that car justice in bringing it back, they kept most of the old retro styling for the 1970 challenger on the exterior of the car, and updated the interior to bring things up to date, it just the right amount of the past, mingled with just the right amount of the new, it could not have been done better, if it were done by god himself "KUDOS" to Dodge.
Mopar has always been my second choice in muscle cars, I do believe that they are now number one in my eyes, all the general has left thats as cool as it should be is the Corvette, and I cannot, and will not say a bad thing about a perfect car, but back to the task at hand, which was the 2009 Camaro, and my ideas about how things should have been.
I think they done an awesome job on the interior of the car, and that could say just like it is, and the rear of the car only needs one small change, it needs tail lights that more resemble the 1969 Camaro, and at the front of the car, the grille could be a bit taller, to give it more of the Camaro feel, the grille was one of the little things that had a huge impact on the overall look of the car.
While were working on the front of the car, let's make those fenders look a bit more like the 1969 Camaro model, it's not hard to achieve, just raise the crown of the fender a bit in the middle, and bow the sides out a bit more, and "WA-LA" it just like magic, you will not be able to keep them on the showroom floor.
I've been in the automotive business for about 20 or 25 years, I have worked in all facets of the industry, from parts to restoration, all different makes and models, I just want to keep people interested in the old cars because it's where my heart is.
Modify Your Car with a Mopar Cold Air Intake System
When considering how to improve the performance of your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Plymouth vehicle through aftermarket accessories, a Mopar cold air intake is the first and best way to go. In simple terms, this device is used to lower the temperature and increase the volume and velocity of the air that goes into your car's internal combustion engine. This increases engine power and efficiency. Yet, these are relatively easy to install when compared to other performance-enhancing parts.
If you've ever wondered why most souped-up muscle cars are so noisy, this is one of the reasons. Experienced car owners who know what they're doing would never modify their car just to make it noisier as it cruises down the street. The truth is that your typical car manufacturer cannot optimize the performance of its cars because the company has other things to consider such as costs, practicality, and yes, sound reduction in accordance with existing laws.
In contrast, aftermarket Mopar cold air intake systems come in all shapes, sizes and materials. Most of these have one thing in mind: Performance. A trade-off when installing a high performance cold air intake is actually preferred by most - the sound of a louder engine.
But how does cold air help the engine's performance? Air is made up of many elements. The only one useful to complete the chain reaction required for the combustion or small explosions that take place in the engine is oxygen. Since cold air is denser than warm air, it contains more oxygen, producing more powerful explosions for less amounts of fuel.

the above answer is good ,you can go through jegs to get some good performance parts for the dodges, they got a kit that will make a 360 crank out around 335 horse power real easy, and it wont break you to build it either, good luck.
