It's been a while again, so now it's back to the camaro restoration segment of our articles, and we're getting down to the nitty gritty here, it's time to remove the sub frame, for those not familiar with what the sub frame is, it's easiest explained by telling you it's the from section of the camaro's frame, the parts the your front suspension, braking, and your engine mount to.

You see a camaro is a uni-body car, which is to say that it does not have a full frame, it has a front frame section called the sub frame, and a rear section that are completely separate from each other, all this was done to make the car lighter, and supposedly more safe, but we won't go in to that right now.

The sub frame has four rather large grade eight bolts holding it to the body of the car, and giving all the front end component a place to mount, on top of each mount bolt you'll find a rubber donut called a body mount, the body mounts provide a cushion between the sub frame, and the car body, and deaden squeaking and road noise, they also stop the holes in the body that mount it to the frame for ova ling.

What you need to do is roll underneath the car and locate these bolts, they should be near that back, and about the middle of the sub frame, you'll need to remove the front seats, and carpet to gain access to these bolts, and they may be stubborn and rusted in place, if this is the case, use some penetrating oil to loosen them up.

Before you do any loosening at all, be 100% sure to put jack stands under the body of the car, or when you remove the sub frame the firewall of the car will bounce off of the floor, and you don't need that, so don't get ahead of yourself, take the time to do the job the right way, and by the right way, I mean the safe way.

After you have the car body supported in some way, you can remove the front wheels from the car, after you do that you'll need to remove the brake lines from the calipers, or drums, what ever is on your particular car, also be sure to support the sub frame by putting the wheels back on the car, this will make it so you just have to roll the sub frame out from under the car once the mounting bolts are loose.

Now that you have the front wheels back on the car, let's remove the four mounting bolts, while supporting that back of the sub frame, once the mounting bolts are loose, you can just roll the entire sub frame out from under the car, and clean it, and do the repairs that it may need, and get it ready for paint.

The Eos is also tight in curves, moved steadily and well in control over bumpy roads compared to any convertibles. The Eos rides so well that Volkswagen warns drivers to keep track of their speedometers. The controls and gauges inside the Eos are well laid out which is typical in every Volkswagen vehicle.

Where can i find 454 engine adapter mounts for 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ?

Hello, i need to install a 454 chevy engine onto a 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ that currently has a 2.5L I4 w/ the manual transmission. I would like to know where i can find the engine mount adapters i already checked advanced adapters and nothing. PLEASE HELP!

You are gonna have to do some welding and cutting. I would first go find a big late 80's early 90's Chevy W/O engine at a boneyard and chop them out and then weld them in place of your old mounts. Thats the easiest, safest and cheapest way i know of to do that.
