is it worth changing my ibanez bridge?

ive just recently bought an ibanez rg350 with the edge 3 bridge.(locking nut)
Now... upon playing about with spring tension and so forth i find the tuning stays remarkably well. But only in standard tuning...
When drop d tuning or sropping half a step, it looks as though this change in STRING tension then allows the guitar to go out of tune all the time. ! For example..if i drop d tune..then lock the nut and so forth, 5 mins later all the string are then too high? as if this relax on the e has allowed the spring to pull the strings .if i tighten the bridge spring tension it will stay ok, but upon tuning the e back up !! it then throws out again !!!NIGHTMARE !!!!!!

Can this be fixed or is it worth changing to a solid bridge set up...and if so.. what will fit striaght on without too fuss..
