The new Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai Sonata is the all-new upgraded version of the Sonata Embera from Hyundai Motors. The car hosts several new features and upgrades in terms of style, comfort, and convenience. The sedan is impulsive in style, power-packed performance, and exquisite interiors are offered under the Hyundai brand known for reliability and value.

An enlarged chrome radiator grille, wider front bumper and air dam, larger headlamps, and new design alloy wheels are some exterior highlights. The new interior sees dual tone interiors, high quality materials, and a host of chrome and wood inserts which enhance appearance and durability. Hyundai has added a second generation Theta petrol engine on the Sonata Transform for improved fuel efficiency and performance.

Dynamic suspension and an excellent rear-seat ride quality, one of Sonata's key appealing features, continue to dominate the Sonata's redesign. Hyundai Motor says that the Embera offers much higher fuel efficiency because of its light weight and aluminium engine block. With its contemporary international styling, refined driving dynamics and 170-mm ground clearance, it is time to take a second good look at the Sonata.

The hood, featuring a prominent V-shaped ridge, meets the chrome-lipped signature grille. Wrap-around tail lamps (resembling those of the Honda Accord's) and sporty twin exhaust notes bring up the rear, balancing the front visage and emphasising the car's new international styling. Flared wheel arches feature 16-inch alloy wheels, and tubeless tyres give the Embera a sturdy, well-heeled profile. The new version is also a bit wider and taller than the Honda Accord.

The Sonata Transform is available in both diesel and petrol versions in two main variants - 2.4 VTVT (Petrol) and 2.0 CRDi (Diesel). The petrol version is powered by a 2.4-litre MPFI second generation Theta engine that produces 173 bhp and diesel variants come with a 148 bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT). The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and diesel engine is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 4-Speed H-Matic automatic gearbox which gives the choice of shifting from automatic to a manual sports mode when required.

The front independent double wishbone suspension and rear multi-link suspension come with coil springs, gas shock absorbers, and anti-roll bars similar to the Embera and offer a stable and highly comfortable ride.

engine misfire?

a car electrician diagnosed my jetta and told me cylinder 1 has a misfire, to check the spark plug, cable, and even the coil pack. what can it be?

First check the compression.
You need at least 100 psi to work.
Another thing that will cause a misfire is a vacuum leak on the runner that feeds that cylinder, or an intake gasket leak.
