1999 chevy lumina need on line site for torque specifaction for the headbolts and the engine is a 3.1?
I need them for the head bolts ,rocker arms, intake, intake manifoild, exuast headers?
You will need new head bolts, their streach bolts, one time use. Head bolt torque step1. 37 Ft-lbs. step 2. Rotate an additional 90-degrees( 1/4-turn) Rocker arm bolts, new bolts required. Step 1. 89 in-lbs Step 2. Rotate an additional 30-degrees. Intake manifold bolts (lower) 115 in-lbs. Intake manifold bolts/studs (upper) 18 in--lbs. Exhaust manifold retaining nuts 144 in-lbs. Exhaust heatshild bolts 89 in-lbs. Head installtion. Clean head serface so there is no oil on them. Use a tap of correct size to chase the threads in the head bolt holes. When torquing all bolts, start in the middle of one side and work in a clockwise direction. The bolt hole can be cleaned out with a shop vac, or air. Wear goggles when using air. Make sure everthing is clean before putting engine together. Info on bolts, anytime a torque calls for additional degrees or turns it is a streach bolt and is good for one time use. I own a 1998 Lumina with 140,000 miles on it I do my own work, that way I know it's done right.
