Can I get scholarships for materials other than my tuition?
While I may have enough financial aid to cover my tution, I dont have that much money to spend on the other materials I need like textbooks, electronic tools like a graphing calculator, and especially a new laptop since the university I'm going to (NYU Poly), has a mandatory rule on having laptops. Mine is very outdated and I need a new one soon before I need it for heavy duty use for classes. So I'm wondering if I can get scholarships enough to cover these needs. Though the problem I have are these: What are some good and reliable scholarship sites I can go to and if I do get enough scholarships to cover these costs, I really doubt theyll send a check to me so how will I have access to that money?
