A foam roller is an incredible tool for anyone who is engaging in intense training and workouts. Whether you are an avid runner, are involved in a regular strength training program, or a competitive athlete; foam rolling is a great technique to improve performance.

First let me describe how and why the foam roller works. Everyone has what is called superficial fascia, which is connective tissue located just below the skin. This is the stuff that connects muscles, blood vessels, bones and nerves in the body. Together with the muscles this creates the myofascia system.

When people are training hard, have had injuries, or do not stretch enough, the fascia can become tight and bundled together. What this means in the real world is that everything feels tight and restricted, usually causing some discomfort or even a reduction in overall training performance.

The work on a foam roller will actually release the tension and create space in the fascia, giving the area more movement.

The foam roller can be used on most major muscle areas including the quadriceps, hamstrings, IT band, upper and lower back, and the shoulder girdle. When using the foam roller, the individual will place the area they want to work on the roller and roll slowly, eventually moving through the entire muscle area, concentrating on the "tight" areas. When doing this, the individual will likely feel knots or a "pins and needles" type of a feeling. This is normal and regular foam rolling will reduce pain and discomfort.

This self myofascial release technique is important for anyone with any training background and will improve performance, reduce the risk of injury, reduce chronic and acute pain, improve joint mobility, and improve overall movement quality.

History of Handbags

Handbags have now become an iconic status. We buy a handbag for every event and our eventual aim is to have a designer make. Hand bags are very essential for women because the women cannot manage without them. They need handbags to put their basic essentials like make up kits, diary, tissues, keys, purse, mirror, cell phones, pen etc.

If we look back into the history of handbags, we will come to know that the first recognized use of handbags is in the fourteenth century  hieroglyphics which shows that the men use to carry little pouches around their waists called ‘girdles'. But in the 1400s women as well as men starts wearing handbags decorated with jewels or embroidery to mirror their richness and these stuff became a status symbol which is reflected in the portraits of wealthy and powerful people arrogantly sporting their handbags fastened to their clothes with tasseled strings.

In the early seventeenth century, the handbags of men and women nearly vanished and were exchanged by pockets under their clothes. But in the late eighteenth century puffed skirts were thrown out of fashion especially for women and close fitting dresses became the new fashion for the women. Later on leather and embroidered handbags became quite famous as handbags begin to harmonize their clothes and women had diverse handbags for various events. Perfume, smelling salts and visiting cards were carried by the females in their handbags and these handbags were known as reticules.

It was in the late 1900s that the word ‘handbag' first used to express satchels and briefcases carried by men. But women handbags designer made alike versions to suit womanly requirements including small compartments for glasses, gloves, fans and makeup accessories.

The time after the First World War finished was a time of great freedom for women and a more sovereign approach to women appearance and this is when handbags truly became essential accessories. Handbags truly became popular with various supplies which includes mother of pearl and bolder colors being used.

The eruption of the Second World War destined a scarcity of leather and metal for frames and zips so handbag manufacturer begin to use wood and plastic in its place. In the decade of 1930s there was also a development of the hang on to bag, which is still very famous these days.

It was in the 1950s that fashion houses started making designer handbags and the reptile skin and silk bags were introduced in the 1960s. Silk handbags are still very famous in vogue as infrequent bags. These days the bulk of leather handbags are imported from the Italy and China into the UK. Recently the trend in handbags is to make the handbags of wool and tweed like the Autumn Rose etc.

Advancement in manufacturing processes of handbags have also introduced cheaper handbags permitting people to purchase gorgeous handbags at reasonable prices and this has long been the culture of Sophie Curtis which sells a vast variety of spectacular handbags, silk handbags, clutch bags, purses and jewelry accessories at very rational cost to suit all pockets and fashion.
