vibrating engine when holding the brakes and whilst in drive or reverse?
i recently bought a 99 corolla and i noticed a few weeks ago that the car vibrates badly when slowing down or picking up speed, as a result of this i went to a commendable mechanic and he instantly told me that it is my front engine mount i then replaced it and the vibration has suppressed a whole lot. but i am still not satisfied as the engine still vibrates when i hold down the brakes when i am in drive or reverse what is the problem? at the same time when dealing with the mount i noticed that a reeving is coming from the power steering pump the mechanic told me that from time to time the power steering pump needs to be flushed out, but i noticed that he did not do any flushing he just simply drained out the old power steering oil and replaced it with a power steering sealer it immediately stopped the reeving but after a week or so the reeving came back. is this the proper process or should i take it to another mechanic for a proper flushing or replace the pump?
my answer is try to check it out first on auto repair shop..
