Ford is the world's third largest car maker when measured by vehicle sales. Other than Ford's own-branded businesses, the company owns one other major brand - Volvo, though it also owns one-third interest in Mazda and a small holding share in the former subsidiary Aston Martin.

Will 1998 Ford Escort radiator fit 2002 Ford Focus?

my dad, who's a jack of all trades, is looking at buying a slightly busted Focus with bad radiator, and he wants to take off a radiator from his old Escort and slap it onto Focus. He _thinks_ the radiator models don't change as drastically as engine or body parts. Is this true?

They carry two completely different part #'s, so I highly doubt it.

Radiators will typically interchange across vehicle models that are based on the same platform. For instance, a radiator out of a Taurus will be the same as one out of Sable, or say a 1970 Chevelle's radiator will fit a '70 Olds Cutlass, Buick Skylark, or Pontiac LeMans.....all the same platforms.

The Escort and the Focus are not the same vehicle platform, so I highly doubt they will interchange. Though your Dad does have a good money saving idea...
