fresh engine rebuild less then 50 miles,oil is black!!?

just rebuilt a small block ford (302 ho)and changed the oil for the first time after about 50-75 miles and the oil was black very dirty how can this be in a brand new engine with almost no miles on it ??

if it has a carb then it is running too rich, rings could be lined up wrong causing exhaust gasses to enter the oil. and the pcv valve is not to keepthe oil from turning black. the pcv valve is a positive crankcase ventilation valve. it is used to relieve pressure in the crankcase to prevent oil pan gasket problems. and yes oil will turn dark but WILL NOT turn black in 50-75 miles.
