With today's ever advancing world, the automotive industry continues to flourish as more people buy more automobiles to move faster in everyday life. As economics say, when there's demand, there should be supply, and it seems auto manufacturers are only too happy to produce great cars and performance parts with the aim of gaining more loyal customers and topping the latest product feature of the other company. Truly, the overall competition can only benefit both the industry and the consumers. But despite the constant ingenuity of top automakers, there's one brand that leads and continues to stand apart from the rest because of its brilliance: Honda.
There's no question that Honda vehicles are already legends in the automotive scene. A Japanese engine manufacturer and engineering corporation, Honda is most notable for its automobiles and motorcycles and is the undisputed leader in the manufacture of motorcycles since the 1970's. Building more than 14 million internal combustion engines each year, Honda is also the largest engine-maker in the world. Quite a feat, considering its founder, Socihiro Honda, started out as a manufacturer of piston rings in 1937. Years later, he became a sub-contractor for Toyota and began to manufacture other parts. After World War 2, he established the Honda Technical Research Institute in Hamamatsu, Japan, which became the Honda Motor Company, Ltd. two years later. The rest, as they say, is history.
Today, Honda vehicles can be seen throughout major and minor roads in the US. These vehicles continue to be praised and patronized due to their refinement, longevity and reliability. Among the popular Honda vehicles of today are the Honda Civic, Honda CR-V, Honda Accord, Honda Pilot, Honda Odyssey and the Honda Ridgeline Truck. Aside from these modern marvels, the Honda classics continue to traverse the roads of US though no longer in production, because of their great quality and longevity.
Due to the wide use of Honda cars and motors, Honda's performance parts naturally abound in the market. Honda's performance parts are supreme quality parts arranged to provide modification and maintenance for all Honda models and are hard to surpass when it comes to quality and performance. These include body parts, cooling system parts, mechanical engine parts, fuel injection parts, fuel system parts, air intake parts, transmission parts, and suspension parts, all of which are readily available whenever that urgent need for repair or replacement comes. Whether you're on an off-road excursion, a long trip to the mountains or just on your way to work, you never know when the unfortunate situation of a minor accident or a part malfunction will come. But with Honda's performance parts, you're assured you have the best auto parts you can possibly have.
More than function, Honda's performance parts also give a new level of style truly delivered by Honda replacement and aftermarket accessories. Once all these must-have, automotive pieces are installed, only ultimate performance and the natural beauty of Honda vehicles can be seen and experienced. Nothing else can give superior quality rides than Honda.

Keys Are in the Ignition for Japanese Car Production
On April 18th, the New York Times reported that car production had resumed in Japan. The news is likely to provoke a cheery ring in the ears of more than one car lover -- cars from Japan, after all, even Japanese used cars have long been admired in car-friendly places. Just outside of Tokyo, at Honda's Sayama factory, production is still down from the pre-tsunami rate of 800 to 900 cars a day, but so far a daily output of 400 to 450 cars has been managed.
An enduring reputation for quality has followed Japanese cars around. Japanese used car dealers would gladly fill you in on the wonders that reputation has done for their business. In Honda's case, that public standing goes back to Soichiro Honda who after stinting as a car repairman in his youth, made his first big splash in 1928 when he opened a local car garage. Then, in addition to holding -- for a while -- the record for building and driving the fastest car in Japan, Soichiro also developed brilliant piston rings to sell to Toyota and designed an inexpensive, high-quality motorcycle.
But today, there is worry about the long-term availability of Japanese car parts. New car sellers and Japanese used car exporters, too, are paying attention. One car requires about 20,000 to 30,000 individual pieces for assembly, and included among those most devastated by the recent quake and tsunami were Japan's car parts manufacturers in the country's Northeast. Like Honda, Toyota has also been announcing its strides in getting the gears moving again along its miles of assembly lines -- currently, and although working at half their usual rate, all 17 of Toyota's factories have opened for business again.
As for Soichiro's story, before making Honda cars, Soichiro Honda started out selling motorcycles, and for a while, the Honda Motor Company's advertising slogan was "You Meet the Nicest People on a Honda." Maybe a Japanese new car doesn't exactly scream Rock 'n' Roll, but it's certainly more than one 16-year-old kid with a just-signed driving permit who'd shout, "Domo arigato gozaimasu" as he shimmied with delight at the prospect of being handed the keys to a green Civic. Anybody care to know the Civic's original name? Compound Vortex Controlled Combustion Engine (CVCC). Here's to hoping not too many new drivers will have to make do with other brands.

honda civic question???
i have a 1990 honda civic hatch that has a 1.5 liter engine. i bought it as a to b car. im trying to get it passed smog but my rpm's are way too high when it is in park. i need help in trying to lower them. ive done just about everything from rebuilding the entire engine to replacing sensors and tubes. replacing all gaskets replaced the cat converter, rebuilt the trottle body as well as replacing the gaskets, replaced the piston rings and rods, etc etc. ive literally rebuilt the entire engine and its components. the belts are new and all timed correctly. ive checked forums and bought books on hondas but it still idles way too high. has anyone had this problem and can give some tips or on what to do?
thanks to everyone who can help in advance.
Check your cars engine vacuum, it helps set the idle.
The termostat/temprature sensor may be bad. The car is supposed to idle high when starting cold until it warms up. If there is a problem here it may never drop the rpms.
Otherwise I'm at a loss to drop the rpms. Both above situations worked on my 1993 Civic. My car burned oil, had a bad O2 sensor, ran rich and never failed a state emissions test.
The only other problem that would cause a car to fail the state emissions test is low flow of exhaust, from a leak. If there was not enough flow you failed.
