Blue Print is an independent manufacturer of the most drivable, reliable, and high-performance engine assemblies in the aftermarket auto parts industry. Its products range from crate engines to stroker engines and custom high-performance machines. They are all Dyno tested, with the assembly lube on their surface completely oil washed. The processes used in their manufacture ensure that every Blue Print engine assembly is perfect for street use, show, racing, 4 x 4, and even marine applications.
The engines offered by the manufacturer can be categorized into three: the CT, the CTC, and the CTF. The CT is the base engine, a short block assembly complete with an oil pump, oil pan, cylinder heads, valve covers, intake manifold, and balancer. The CTC is the brand's carburetor-dressed engine. This short block comes complete with all the parts found in the CT engines, plus distributor, spark plugs and wires, water pump and fuel pump, fuel line, and carburetor. The CTF, on the other hand, is a fuel injection-dressed short block engine. It comes complete with the same parts of the CTC engine, except the carburetor that is instead replaced with the fuel injection system.
Each engine assembly from Blue Print is designed for the everyday DIYer. It is built according to the original specifications of the automobile it is designed for, so installation is easier. It is just important to remember that since the Dyno testing process employed in the manufacture of the engine included washing of the assembly lube, a pre-lube process must first be done before setting the engine timing. The easiest method to do this is by getting a pre-lube tank from the manufacturer, filling it with oil, and then connecting the hose to the block. This is a lot faster and more inexpensive than manually rotating the new engine. When done, all that is needed is to set the preferred timing according to the manual from the manufacturer.
The timing of each Blue Print engine assembly does not only depend on the make and model of the automobile. Other factors to consider include the model of the assembly, the type of pistons, the vehicle's weight, transmission, gear ratio, tire size, load, and even the type of fuel used. For best results, it is important to use the specifications recommended for each assembly.

Help with my 383 stroker build?
Ok this is were im at rite now, Im going to build a 383 stroker and i started making my list to see what I have to buy but im just a little unsure of some things so I just need an experts input. So for this build im going to buy a 350 block and have it bored .040 over. Then ima get a 400 crank. Ima go with a 650 carb., air gap intake, steel heads, hydraulic roller cam (very mild), and 10.0:1 pistons. Im unsure of what type of heads to get and what kind of cam. How do I figure out my lift? Would it just be easier to buy a kit? And what parts off my 350 can i transfer over to save money? Point me in the right direction I really appreciate it. Whats a good rebuild book?
I'll start with the easiest first. You an transfer everything but the crank, rods and pistons, from your 350. I would go with 195 or 202 heads, and you can get a cam kit, which has your cam and lifters. What do you plan on using the engine in? If it is in a truck used for hauling, go with a low end torque cam, if you are putting it in a street racer then go for mid range torque. You don't want high end with a stroked engine. Plus you don't want to go with a radical cam, not if you are running a 650, which by the way is an excellent size carb for your engine.
