If there are some areas where there are ridges, make sure that the material actually fills the gaps. The wrong thing to assume would be that it is okay to put in the material and just bridge any gaps.

After completing everything, you can now put back in the parts you have removed like the dashboard, the door panels, the carpet and the seats. if i pull the 350 ci. engine out of my 1987, chevy pickup, 1500 with a 700 r-4 transmission?

will a 1970-74 454 big block bolt up to this 700-r-4?? i do under stand i will have to make a throttle valvebracket for my detent cable.

a small block 350 and a big block 454 have the same bellhousing bolt pattern however the pre 88' or 89' 700r4s are not known for great power handling capabilities
