There are really only two types of people, those who are looking for a used Corvette for sale, and those who already have a Corvette. This article is directed at those who are looking.
When you think of purchasing a classic Corvette most of us think about putting a second mortgage on the house or selling our first born. However, if you peruse the used Corvette for sale section of your local newspaper or online you may be in for a nice surprise.
True, if you are looking for a C2 (a Corvette manufactured between 1963-1967) you're going to have to pay a pretty price. And if you're interested in a C1 (manufactured between 1953-1962) even a scrap heap of its parts is going to cost you. But there is a classic Corvette you can purchase for a song and you won't have to stand in line to find one.
The third generation's (C3) Corvette manufactured between 1975-1982 is easy to come by and though they are less desirable than the C1 and C2, they are still classic Corvettes and will still turn heads as they drive by. If you're looking for a classic used Corvette for sale, these C3s will be the last Corvette bargains you're ever likely to find and folks are catching on fast.
C3 Corvettes are by far the largest generation ever produced but are not the 'sought after' treasures that most of the other generations are. One of the reasons these cars are not as cherished as many of their counterparts is because of the low horsepower of the engine.
However, unless you are a purist of some sort, these babies can be retrofitted with a newer more powerful engine and you will still spend less than if you took out that mortgage and went for a more desirable generation. You will still have that classic Corvette you always wanted, that pride of Corvette ownership and you'll actually have enough money left over to go somewhere in it.
Restoring an old Corvette is part of the whole Corvette experience, and many enthusiasts will tell you bringing an old Corvette back to life is a labor of love. You can restore your Corvette to drivable condition a little at a time. Tackling difference individual projects as you get the time and money is part of the fun. And because the C3 was the largest generation, finding those parts is not the problem or expense it is on older models either.
If you are interest in making that Corvette purchase, or if you just want to see what is out there, a great place to begin your search for a used Corvette for sale is at http://www.americas-sportscar.com/.
BEST DIESEL ENGINES
The Diesel engine increases the fuel inefficiency of gasoline engines. That is because at its core, the way a Diesel engine operates is nearly identical to the machinations of the gasoline engine. The primary purpose is to use internal combustion to convert the chemical energy of fuel into mechanical energy that can drive the movement of the pistons who’s up and down movements drive the crankshaft and create the rotating motion required to move the car forward.
Today most motor vehicles contain a four stroke diesel engine. The process of this four stroke diesel engines is as follows:
First the intake valves open allowing air into the cylinder and forcing the initial downward motion of the pistons.
Second, the pistons move back up and compress the air and Finally as the piston reaches the top, the fuel is injected and the air, having been heated by the act of compression, ignites the fuel and the combustion forces the piston back down; fourth, the piston moves back to the top, pushing out the exhaust created from the combustion as opposed to a gasoline engine that uses a spark from a sparkplug to ignite the fuel air mixture.

About the Author
hi i am dannyJohn, i have an interest in writting aritcles....and my total experience is in auto parts articles and have been working in this fields for 5 years and 6 month....now i am also working in auto parts fields..
will a 350 small block chevy engine fit my 1968 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, with the original transmission?
I realize that that some welding will be needed to be done so that the engine can be mounted on the frame but is this possible, ive been told it is. The thing of it is, is that the engine I have now, a 472 V8 that it was made with is running but has a bad knock and a terrible noise, and a rebuild will cost close to $4000 so I need to find a smaller engine that will drive well and work for the car while i work on it. And not sure if I will need a different transmission if i get a different engine too.
If you opt to swap out for ANY Chevy engine you will need to get a transmission as well. Both the Chevy BIG-block and SMALL-block V8s use a different and exclusive to Chevy only bellhousing bolt pattern. All other GM engines use the the "BOP" (Buick-Oldsmobile-Pontiac) bellhousing bolt pattern. You might want to consider going with a BIG-block 396-427-454 engine for your application, due to the weight and size of your ride. I don't think a 350 SMALL-block will be enough to move your 5000 lbs. boat.
