Steel alloys are popular in metal manufacturing industries. They are not hardened even under heat treatments or solutions. With cold working though, they may be hardened moderately. The best characteristics of ferritic alloys extend to its resistance to corrosion as well as its ductile qualities and oxidation properties.

Martensitic alloys

A martensite is a hard form of steel structure and may sometimes be a result of displacive transformation of crystal structures. This type of steel alloy is formed through the rapid cooling or quenching process of the austenitic alloy. Other types of alloys of steel
