2002 Neon lower control arm bushings?
so, I've found a great mechanic... he changed my auto transmission for $350 bucks ( I supplied it but only cost me $150 or so from a wrecker , fixed my blown head gasket for $650. did some other repairs all along the same cost, has a shop and all too, not some shadey guy... Now he says my LOWER CONTROL ARM bushings are gone on both sides. I confirmed it with 2 other people but they were just doing an oil change for me. He wants $300 bucks to fix both sides including parts/labour. I dunno if he is doing after market bushings or the whole lower control arm replacement oem parts, but either way, is this a good deal??? I am too lazy to go get quotes this time and am wondering if this is a fair price. I don't wanna question him considering the cheap tranny cost he did for me. Well, I feel it was a great deal anyways 
Well if you consider that most shops would charge a good 45Min's for each bushing and many charge 2 hrs really just for the labour , you're only looking at about 130.00 for the parts and that's fair if you ask me.You're very right 350.00 labour was a fair price for the transmission work that he did for you and why not get the rest of the work done by him anyways.
